| Application/Uses | Glufosinate-ammonium is used for control of a wide range of annual and perennial broad-leaved weeds and grasses in fruit orchards, vineyard, rubber and oil palm plantations, ornamental trees and bushes, non-crop land, and pre-emergence in vegetables. Also used as a desiccant in potatoes, sunflowers, etc. Flumioxazin is used to control of submerged plants, and can be used as a direct foliar application to control emergent and floating-leaf plants. It also controls some filamentous algae. Flumioxazin is a broad-spectrum contact herbicide. |
| TOXICOLOGY | Flumioxazin toxicity: Flumioxazin has low toxicity if residues get on the skin of individuals, and very low toxicity if eaten or inhaled. Flumioxazin was mildly irritating to the eyes of rabbits and neither irritating to rabbits nor sensitizing to guinea pigs when applied to skin. Glufosinate-Ammonium Toxicity: It is highly soluble in water, volatile and has a low risk of leaching to groundwater. It is non-persistent in soils but may be persistent in aquatic systems. It is moderately toxic to mammals and considered to be a neurotoxin. |
